Visaginas Social Services Centre is an institution whose mission is to provide caring and comprehensive assistance to the residents of Visaginas Municipality who are experiencing difficulties due to age, disability or social problems. The Centre promotes the autonomy and social integration of each person, with the aim that its clients not only receive the necessary services, but also feel a valuable part of society. Special attention is paid to the development of social skills and maintaining relations with the community, creating conditions for overcoming social exclusion and maintaining close contact with family and friends.
The Care Department provides social care services to those who are no longer able to live independently due to old age or disability, and their relatives cannot provide the necessary care. The services of the department include short-term and long-term care, during which the needs of each resident are carefully assessed and an individual social care plan is drawn up, adapted to their physical, psychological and spiritual condition.
In the care unit, residents are provided with 24-hour supervision, integrated with health care and employment programs that support physical activity, develop fine motor skills, and promote independence. Leisure activities, social events, walks and trips strengthen the sense of community and enrich everyday life. The principle of teamwork is carried out in order not only to take care of the household, but also to promote social ties, independence and respect for their rights and dignity of the residents, creating a full-fledged and safe life in the Visaginas Social Services Centre.
