There are 166 people from all over Lithuania living in the Suvalkija social care home, who have lost a large part of their working capacity due to mental or mental disability and who have a high or medium level of special needs. The aim of the care home is to provide these persons with comprehensive support and a safe environment that helps them to better integrate into society and develop their independence. A large team, which makes up about 80% of the staff, works directly with these residents, who are dedicated to the well-being of everyone and a better quality of life.
The care home has created excellent conditions for meeting daily needs and developing various activities. There is a canteen, laundry, library, an activity complex and a mini-gym. Residents can participate in various activities: music, drama, woodwork, radio engineering, handicrafts, art, ceramics, cooking and sports clubs. These activities promote social communication, develop everyday skills and enrich leisure time.
Suvalkija Social Care Home provides long-term, short-term and temporary respite care services, while ensuring health care, nutrition, hygiene, household, legal, cultural and religious services. Here, efforts are made to make every resident feel socially safe, have opportunities to improve and strengthen relations with society, thus overcoming social exclusion and striving for fullness.
