Stonaičiai Social Care Home, located on the beautiful side of the Minija stream, in the former manor of Duke B. Oginskis, provides a cozy and caring environment for adults with moderate, deep or complex mental and mental disabilities. This care centre, which has been operating in the picturesque area since 1926, is subordinate to the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania and is intended to ensure long-term and short-term care for persons in need of permanent care. The care home also accommodates elderly people with a high level of special needs.
Currently, 153 people live in the Stonaičiai care home, who are provided with daily help according to their individual needs, helping them to adapt, improve their social and work skills, and, if necessary, regain emotional balance. Professional specialists take care of psychological rehabilitation, educate, apply various therapeutic methods, and promote an active lifestyle. Here, special attention is paid to the employment of residents – from handicrafts and woodwork to a training hall and a relaxation room with music therapy.
The care home team strives to provide everyone with personal space and opportunities to engage in activities that bring joy and help them forget about everyday worries. Residents have the opportunity to participate in national and religious holidays, music classes, sports training, as well as choose literature in the library or discuss with staff. Stonaičiai Care Home fulfills its mission to ensure the safety, emotional well-being and social participation of every resident by providing the highest quality care services in a dignified and supportive environment.
