Public institution Šv. St. Joseph’s Care Home is a care institution in Panevėžys for lonely, physically disabled elderly people who need constant care. This care home was established in 2009 and can accommodate up to 90 residents, depending on the needs and level of independence of each person. Long-term and short-term social care services are provided in order to maintain or improve the ability of individuals to take care of themselves independently and to engage in public life.
Residents are provided with quality accommodation conditions, including single, double and triple rooms with private bathrooms. Meals are provided four times a day, and there is an adapted physiotherapy hall where morning exercise takes place every day. Regarding physical exercises and movement activities, residents are consulted according to their state of health. In addition, various leisure activities are offered to the residents: trips, employment programs, religious and community activities, as well as community meetings and cultural events. Every Friday in the chapel there is a mass of St. Mass, and meetings are held in the community room over a cup of tea.
This care home values human dignity, community spirit and solidarity. The staff strives to ensure the high quality of social and medical services, promoting the well-being of the population and strengthening human values.
