The Senior Social Care Home, located in the heart of Vilnius city, in the unique Verkiai Regional Park, offers services to elderly people who need constant care due to physical or social independence. The institution provides both long-term and short-term care, especially for people with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s diseases or senile dementia. Since 2022, the institution has become a public institution, but its history dates back to 1979, when it was established as a home for independent living.
Residents are guaranteed dignified living conditions, which seek not only physical but also emotional well-being. The premises are adapted for disabled people, and seniors can enjoy a variety of activities in the activity rooms, library, gym and relaxation room. The institution also has St. Peter’s Basilica. The Chapel of the Baby Jesus Teresa, where Mass is held every week.
