Founded in 1994, our institution is one of the first care homes for the elderly opened in Klaipėda, which started operating shortly after Lithuania regained its independence, initially known as Caritas care home. In 2021, the management of this home was taken over by the parish community of Klaipėda Mary Queen of Peace, and the institution itself was renamed the “Queen of Peace Care Home”.
Located in the heart of the city, this house offers 40 places for seniors, which are accommodated in single, double and triple rooms adapted for the disabled. Professional employees work here day and night, providing the necessary services. We attach great importance to humanity, the physical and mental needs of the population, and the promotion of personal development.
Residents of the care home can make their own decisions about their lives, as far as their health allows. We encourage their interaction with the parish and social involvement in the life of Klaipėda. The institution is regularly visited by various groups, bringing youthful energy and joy while celebrating the year’s holidays.
We help seniors and their relatives to process the necessary documents, provide information, consultations and organize accommodation. Nursing professionals responsibly take care of the daily needs of the population by providing the necessary services, while social workers and psychologists protect their rights and interests. Employment specialists ensure meaningful leisure time, and we all strive to improve the quality of life of the population by ensuring dignified living conditions and encouraging integration into the environment, fostering community spirit and harmony of mutual relations.
