The public institution “Senevita” seeks to ensure a dignified, safe and comfortable environment for the elderly by providing long-term and short-term care services. “Senevita” is located in a quiet district of Vilnius and accommodates residents in double rooms equipped with all the main furniture. Residents who want to adapt the environment to their liking are also allowed to bring personal belongings, such as armchairs, TVs, chests of drawers, so they can create a more cozy and individual atmosphere.
The team, consisting of experienced social workers, nurses, physiotherapists and employment specialists, strives to make every resident feel heard and valued. Social workers take care of the daily development of the independence of the population and ensure personalised assistance, taking into account the needs of each person. Residents also have the opportunity to use the health care services provided by the Public Institution Nemenčinė Polyclinic in Vilnius District – from doctors’ visits to massage and physiotherapy.
The institution’s leisure and employment programmes are adapted to the interests of each resident, the activities organised include board games, handicrafts, thematic discussions, concerts and excursions to museums or exhibitions.
