Plinkšiai Care Home is a budgetary institution of Mažeikiai District Municipality, which provides social care services for the elderly and disabled. All the necessary conditions for comfortable living and care have been created in the care home. The institution can accommodate up to 40 residents, accommodating them in 15 double and 10 single rooms equipped with adapted showers and toilets, as well as auxiliary compensatory equipment for the disabled. The territory is surrounded by the century-old Plinkšiai Park, next to the beautiful Plinkšiai Lake and the historic surroundings of the manor of Count Konstantinas Pliateris – this gives the residents of the care home the opportunity to enjoy the soothing nature and picturesque environment.
The care home provides not only accommodation and care, but also health, socio-cultural and daily assistance services, which promote independence and employment of the residents. Residents can use the physiotherapy room, the library for the blind, the chapel, as well as participate in leisure activities. Staff – social workers, medics and service personnel – are ready to provide individual assistance, taking into account the needs of each person.
