Pivašiūnai St. The care home of the parish of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a special place where the principles of Christian charity are guided in everyday life. This care home is intended for those who need help the most: lonely elderly people, sick people and disabled people who need constant care and material support. The institution seeks not only to provide physical care, but also to provide spiritual comfort, which is important for the fullness of each ward’s life.
Currently, 20 people of different ages from Pivašiūnai and surrounding parishes live in the care home. Here, each person finds a place where they can feel safe and dignified, and the staff, full of dedication, try to provide comprehensive assistance to each ward. Not only are everyday needs, such as household help or food preparation, met, but attention is also paid to spiritual care – daily prayer gatherings, Holy Mass. Mass and other sacramental rites strengthen the bond of the wards with the faith and provide comfort.
The environment of the care home is designed in such a way that everyone feels at home here – spacious rooms, cozy recreation areas, carefully maintained environment provide an opportunity to enjoy a quiet and dignified life.
