Linkuva Social Care Home is a budgetary institution that is open to the public and meets European quality standards, providing long-term social care to adults with disabilities. The institution is subordinate to the Ministry of Social Security and Labour and is located in Pakruojis district, in the village of Linkavičiai. There are 289 residents living in the care home who, due to mental or intellectual disability, have a working capacity level of 0-40 percent, have high or medium special needs, or are in need of constant care and care. There are 150 qualified specialists working here to ensure the daily safety and well-being of the wards.
The mission of the institution is to provide high-quality long-term and short-term social care services to adults who, due to their health condition, cannot live independently or use other community services. Linkuva Social Care Home not only takes care of the daily needs of the residents, but also seeks to reduce their social exclusion and promote their integration into society by providing opportunities to acquire new skills and engage in various activities.

Linkuva Social Care Home offers a wide range of employment programs: computer skills development, ceramics, leather, photography, cooking, candle casting, handicrafts, floristry, wicker weaving, as well as horse therapy, which is carried out at Akmenėliai Manor. These activities encourage residents to improve, gain independence and spend their time meaningfully, contributing to the strengthening of their emotional and physical health.
