The Lazdijai Social Services Centre is a public institution established by the Lazdijai District Municipality, the mission of which is to provide high-quality and necessary social services to the residents of the district. The Social Care Department offers long-term and short-term care services for the elderly and adults with disabilities. These services are provided in accordance with the Law on Social Services of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts in order to ensure high quality of services and the dignity of customers.
Persons accommodated in care homes receive comprehensive assistance: from the development of daily life skills to social and health care. Each resident is provided with the opportunity to acquire, maintain and restore independence skills in areas such as personal hygiene, housekeeping, budget planning and shopping. Leisure activities are also organized, including sewing, knitting and occupational therapy. Such activities strengthen self-esteem, promote community spirit and help overcome social exclusion.
