The Kelmė District Social Services Centre is a municipal institution that seeks to ensure that the residents of Kelmė District, especially seniors, people with disabilities and families experiencing social exclusion, receive the necessary social assistance and support. Established in 2001, the centre operates in accordance with the values of respect, professionalism, responsibility, cooperation and confidentiality. Its goal is to create an environment where every customer feels heard, valued and empowered to live a dignified life. The centre provides general social services, family assistance and home assistance, helping those who, due to age, health or other reasons, cannot take care of their daily needs or maintain social connections. The Group Life House, located in the village of Paprūdžiai, ensures a safe and supportive environment that helps residents feel independent and full-fledged members of society. There is also a children’s day care centre “Parama”, where the young residents of the district have the opportunity to educate, communicate and spend their free time in a meaningful way. The vision of the institution is to become an innovative, constantly improving institution, where highly qualified specialists provide services that ensure the well-being and social integration of customers. The center, led by director Ramūnas Baranauskas, seeks to respond to the needs of the community in the best possible way by creating positive impact and strengthening social ties that help overcome exclusion and create a safe and supportive environment for all those in need.
