The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Deltuva Trinity Parish Retirement Home, founded on January 11, 1995, is a Christian charity and social care institution designed to provide care and support to the elderly. This house appeared in the building of a former kindergarten, which was donated to the parish by the Deltuva Agricultural Company in order to adapt the building to the needs of the elderly. The parish community of believers, the eldership of Deltuva and the Order of Malta Relief Service, together with sponsors from Germany, helped to implement this noble initiative, ensuring that lonely, elderly people find a cozy home and comprehensive care. Currently, 33 residents live in the retirement home, who are assisted by 19 helpful and caring staff. They improve their qualifications every year by participating in various courses and seminars. The main services provided include accommodation, health care, catering, personal hygiene and leisure activities. These services ensure that the elderly feel safe and comfortable, as well as be able to engage in social activities. The vision of the Deltuva retirement home is not only to meet the needs of the residents, but also to create conditions for a person’s ability to take care of themselves to return, and the mission is to help every senior feel like a full-fledged member of the community.
