The Burbiškis branch of the Anykščiai social care home provides social care services to the residents of Anykščiai district with mental disabilities, whose physical independence is at least partially independent. In this unit, an individual social care plan is drawn up and implemented for each resident, ensuring that the services meet their needs.
Residents are provided with living space with the necessary inventory, and various activities are organized to develop their employment and skills, such as sewing, knitting, cleaning of premises and environment, creative activities for self-expression through art and handicrafts. Everyday household skills are also taught and independence is encouraged. In Burbiškis subdivision, residents are encouraged to participate in cultural life – their leisure time, trips to public events, excursions and games are organized.
The department provides rational, special and dietary nutrition in accordance with the state of health of the population and medical recommendations. Health care services are provided, continuity of treatment, hygiene care and provision of first aid are constantly ensured. In addition, residents are provided with assistance in daily activities such as dressing, eating and personal hygiene. The unit seeks to ensure that social care services meet the expectations of the population and represents their interests in society.
